# Hoken Pass

> Hoken Pass is a SaaS platform to create, manage and publish Digital Product Passports (DPPs) for EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) compliance. It combines eIDAS qualified timestamps, blockchain notarization, QR codes, GDPR-compliant data handling and direct integration with the official EU DPP Registry.

Hoken Pass helps manufacturers, importers and distributors comply with the EU's Digital Product Passport mandate. Battery passports become mandatory on 18 February 2027 for EV, LMT and industrial batteries above 2 kWh (Regulation (EU) 2023/1542), and the EU DPP Registry has been live since 20 July 2026 (Regulation (EU) 2026/1778). According to the European Commission guidance of 21 August 2026, 51 of the 71 battery data points are mandatory for EV batteries, 54 for LMT and 36 for industrial batteries. Hoken Pass issues an eIDAS qualified electronic timestamp per record (Regulation (EU) 910/2014, which gives a legal presumption of accuracy and integrity in all 27 member states) and anchors the data on a blockchain, which the ESPR does not require but which strengthens verifiability.
