Is the carbon footprint required by February 2027?

No. The carbon footprint declaration and label wait for the carbon footprint implementing act to settle calculation and format. The same applies to responsible sourcing information.

Which batteries need a passport?

From 18 February 2027, EV batteries, LMT batteries, and industrial batteries with a capacity greater than 2 kWh placed on the EU market or put into service. Portable batteries are outside the requirement.

Is the Commission's guidance legally binding?
